I’ve been watching the 30 Rock seasons on Netflix back to back, and it wasn’t until the beginning of the third season that I realized that Tracy Jordan might actually be based on the real Tracy Morgan. Last night on NPR’s Fresh Air, Terry Gross interviewed Tracy Morgan evoking emotion and complexity from the new author. Morgan talked about growing up in Ghetto America, his time on SNL and his current project 30 Rock. It was quite an impressive interview. To hear it and find out more on Morgan’s new book, “I Am the New Black”, read more on npr.

Come and visit the store to see all the good stuff we got in from Steven Alan today. In the group are 2 reverse seam shirts, a cotton/cashmere navy and brown striped sweater and the la jolla silk tee in a black and cream graphic floral print. They’ll be up on the site soon!

We use macs, but the kid is cute. Watch Kylie here.
Check out the Wren navy and black elephant print tank featured in ReadyMade Magazine. If you can’t get enough of it, we have the dress in store. That’s right, a whole entire dress dedicated to these lovable elephants.
Also, we’re self-proclaimed DIYers so the button down skirt is bliss. To read the article on Melissa and instructions for making the skirt, visit the ReadyMade website.
Yes, that’s right. This is a shoe. It was sent over to us last night, and we’re pretty amazed. We think this is a stunning example of design over function. Read more.
We’re completely inspired by this street style photo. For Fall we vow to wear only black high heeled shoes. It’s going to be a challenge being on our feet for most of the day, but what an effect. Heels with blue jeans, black jeans, dresses, skirts and even black tights — if you’re going to buy one pair of shoes for Fall, consider black heels!

Although it’s been very warm here lately, we’ve started to think about our options for a Fall coat. The Twinkle by Wenlan Movie Starlet coat is set to arrive at the beginning of October. It reminds us of the old Hollywood movies we watched as young adults at The Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto. Wow, and what a coincidence, they’re showing The Birds tonight — this coat would fit right into Melanie Daniels’ wardrobe!
