Weekly roundup

  • Islay camis, bras, and bandeaus are back in stock! We have all 3 styles in white, nude and black.
  • Just wanted to highlight the perfect black turtleneck we have in store by Vanessa Bruno. It’s a great layering piece for the season and polished enough to wear on it’s own.
  • We have only 1 pair of the Hansel from Basel charcoal grey ribbed thigh high socks left. Stop by today or tomorrow if you’ve been eyeing them.

It’s been getting a little colder each day, but it’s not yet full-on winter coat time. I’ve been getting away with a cashmere sweater and some sort of scarf. We just got these ones in and we’re loving the variety. They make great gift items. Dare I say, start your holiday shopping now? Yup, too soon.

Hey Girl, here’s what’s coming

We’re pleased to announce the addition of Girl by Band of Outsiders to our Spring 2011 lineup. For a couple of years now, I’ve been a little bit fascinated by Scott Sternberg’s line, Boy by Band of Outsiders. A $1,750 boyfriend blazer was something I couldn’t have, but I knew I wanted — I wanted a piece, any piece from his line. So when I read that Scott was launching a second, less expensive women’s line, Girl, I was on the phone with his people that minute.

Scott is based in Los Angeles and his new line is very floral and feminine… rightly named Girl. When I saw the collection in New York I was blown away by the beautiful prints and easy bodies. I think you’ll be too. Girl by Band of Outsiders arriving Spring 2011.

Have you ever wondered about how an image consultant can help you to define your style and put a signature look together for you?

Susie Weiss of Susie Weiss Wardrobes and Olga Kamova of Style Begins will be hosting an interactive workshop focusing on this season’s style trends.  We will provide an overview of Fall’s biggest fashion trends and a preview of what’s ahead for spring 2011. Our models will showcase the styles that we discuss with the latest looks from Josef Boutique.

We will offer our professional opinion on an outfit that you choose to wear, based on your body shape, and coloring, if you desire.  In addition, we will teach you how to revitalize the hidden gems in your closet by showing you how to pair your “orphaned” items with some of the fabulous new trends of the season. We will show you different, fun and exciting ways to create new outfits. Please bring some items from your closet that you would like us to work with. In this economy, it pays to shop smart!

Susie Weiss is owner of Susie Weiss Wardrobes, based in San Carlos.  As an image consultant and a member of the Association of Image Consultants International, Susie is passionate about helping men and women of all ages look and feel their best by teaching them to discover and express their own unique style. Susie’s love of color and design along with her keen eye and fashion sense enables her to help her clients not only look great but feel confident.  Susie believes that when you truly love the way you look it will be reflected in your attitude and self-esteem.

Olga Kamova (www.StyleBegins.com) has 10 years of hands-on experience in clothing designing, makeup/hairstyling and fashion styling. She is an expert in body types, face shapes, individual style and custom color analysis. It’s her passion to find uniqueness within each person and create a wardrobe that reflects inner essence in a beautiful, harmonious and authentic style.
