Many of our customers have inquired about our Nohohon-Zoku, so we wanted to let you know what they’re called and where to find them. Nohohon-Zoku are fist-sized bobble head toys manufactured by the Japanese company Tomy. These ones are solar-powered. It is said that the purpose of the figurines is to relieve their owners of stress. We found a web site that sells them, however, we do not take responsibility for your orders, and we urge you to do your research before you buy. We hope this makes it a little easier for your to track them down. Happy hunting!

A place to rest
The weather’s been so nice this week that we thought about getting some kind of outdoor seating for the front of the store. We’re really liking these cute Tiki Stools. We did consider traditional benches, however, the pop of color would really brighten things up. Bench or stools? The best part about the stools is their weight. There wouldn’t be a problem carrying them in at night, and their modern shape is a little offbeat. We like different. Have a great weekend and a wonderful Father’s Day!

Celebrating the risk takers, the doers, the makers of things
Before working on the shop today, we paid a short visit to the Maker Faire in San Mateo. The highlight of the day was meeting Sabrina Moyle of Hello Lucky! Pictured above are our spoils. It was such a treat to chat with Sabrina about small business, family recipes and interior design. Check out Sabrina’s vintage red velvet cake recipe on Design*Sponge. Have a great week!

Almost there!
Happy Friday everyone. We really appreciate everyone’s patience with the set up of the new location and the infrequent updates to the blog. It’s been quite a month for us. We’ll be ready to open our doors at the Menlo Park store next week, and then it will be business as usual. We urge you to come visit us and check out our new summer clothing from Anna Sui and Yoana Baraschi. As always, we’re amazed by each and every piece. We got in some really special dresses from both designers. We’re happy to have our Internet up and running – this is our first post from Menlo Park. Hope to see you next week!

Just in: Anna Sui Spring group 3
Happy Friday everyone! Yesterday 3 new Anna Sui Spring pieces arrived. In the group are the Constellation dress (pictured), Ombre Violets dress, and the Circle Venise tee in black. We love the black, cream, violet and royal blue colors of the group, really rich for late Spring and early Summer.
Also, we’re making great progress on the Menlo Park space and are on time for its late May opening. Have a great weekend!

What they’re wearing in Vegas
We stole away to Vegas for a little rest and relaxation. While there, we made it a point to take note of what women were wearing. The most popular outfits consisted of a maxi dress and flat sandals. The maxi dresses ranged from solid black to vibrant green to printed. Some were strapless or halter, others had spaghetti straps. There was something very distinctive about the flat sandals. A lot of them had a gold chain or buckle detail across the top like the ones pictured above. As for the bags, many women carried big slouchy bags. They came in all materials – fabric, plastic and leather. We thought outfits similar to this one were brilliant for the hot dry weather. So next time you’re in an extremely hot climate, dress cool and comfortably in a maxi dress and embellished sandals.

Katie Holmes in Wren
Katie Holmes was photographed yesterday wearing a Wren dress and cardigan. We love Katie’s style, especially when she’s dressed casually and running around town with Suri. Shop our selection of Wren Spring and Summer clothing to master your casual style like Katie. Happy Friday, it’s going to be hot this weekend. Try to stay cool.
